They rarely stray from the big screen, but Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are coming to television in a new show called "True Detective."
In the upcoming HBO series, two detectives' lives become entangled during a 17-year search for a serial killer in Louisiana.
Check out the trailer below, in which the pair deal with their own personal drama as they desperately seek the ruthless murderer.
Along with the boys, Elizabeth Reaser, Michelle Monaghan, and Alexandra Daddario round out the cast. "True Detective" premieres in January on HBO.
